With its leafy roads and central location near Beverly Hills, California's tony Holmby Hills neighborhood has played host to a who's who of Hollywood's Golden Age, from Irene Dunne and Frank Sinatra to Jean Harlow and Humphrey Bogart. It was Marlene Dietrich who once occupied this Mediterranean Revival with a storied past (previous owners included Todd Wellington Johnson, tax attorney to Bing Crosby and other celebrities, and Dorothy Dunbar, a 1920s actress who rented the home). Built in 1932, the property is situated on more than half an acre and was designed by architect L.G. Scherer. Though it was recently restored and renovated, original details like vaulted and beamed ceilings, wood and terra-cotta floors, and stained-glass windows remain, according to the Los Angeles Times. The home spans 6,167 square feet and features four bedrooms and four baths. On the market for $6.5 million, other details include a screening room with a wet bar, six fireplaces, a swimming pool, and a koi pond.
