Penthouse at Ian Schrager Building in New York to Cost Between $75 Million and $80 Million
© dbox1/4The 49 residences at 160 Leroy, Ian Schrager’s new development in Manhattan, are touted on its website as “possibly your last chance to own a home on the water in the West Village.”And opportunities are dwindling fast—private sales began in November, and contracts are already out on about half the building. Madeline Hult Elghanayan of Douglas Elliman Real Estate is the director of sales for the project, where prices range from $2.4 million for a one-bedroom unit to more than $25 million for a five-bedroom apartment. The highlight of the Herzog & de Meuron–designed building, the penthouse, will soon go on the market, and when it does, it will be listed for between $75 million and $80 million.
© dbox2/4The 12,000-square-foot full-floor penthouse has six bedrooms, six baths, and a private elevator. There is also custom-made furniture by French designer Christian Liaigre and bespoke lighting by British designer Arnold Chan.
© dbox3/4The penthouse has another 7,500 square feet of outdoor space, which includes a private rooftop pool. There’s a separate 70-foot pool and spa for the other residents located off the lobby.
© dbox4/4All the units in the building will have access to hotel services from 215 Chrystie Street, a hotel and residential development by Schrager and Herzog & de Meuron that’s set to open this fall.
“The only thing that mattered to me was to turn a residential apartment into a real home,” Schrager said in a release. “I sought to capture the details of life in the details of the architecture.”
